Spectrum Stone Designs, Lynchburg’s only fabricator of natural stone countertops, surrounds and tiles, has opened nominations for Central Virginia charities to participate in a contest to win up to $4,500 worth of natural stone.
“We want to give back to some of the organizations that make Lynchburg a wonderful place to live,” said Page Eggleston, owner of Spectrum Stone Designs. “We hope our Natural Stone Charity Makeover helps one lucky nonprofit win new natural stone for the holidays while showcasing a variety of Lynchburg-based organizations that help others in our community throughout the year.”
Spectrum Stone Designs is accepting charity nominations starting at noon on Nov. 22 through Dec. 10 at 5 p.m. Participating charities must have a facility in Lynchburg and serve the local community. After the nomination period, Spectrum Stone Designs will invite the public to vote for the charity they believe should win a natural stone makeover. People can visit www.facebook.com/spectrumstonedesigns from Dec. 15 to Dec. 31 to vote.
The charity with the most votes as of noon on Dec. 31 wins a natural stone makeover from Spectrum Stone Designs. Natural stone can be used in the nonprofit organization’s facility for new kitchen countertops, bathroom vanities, desks or outdoor seating. Other uses include fireplace surrounds, staircases and outdoor kitchens.
Spectrum Stone Designs will install the new natural stone for the winning charity after Jan. 15, 2014.
